Mining is a fairly easy profession to make gold with in World of Warcraft. The trick is to know how much to charge for what you mine. For example, if you are mining Iron Ore, you can probably expect to get a little under 2g each. If you are selling it for around 1 gold each, then you are losing money. A nice thing about the WoW Secret Gold Guide is that it provides detail maps with routes to take for mining along with the average price you can expect to receive for each ore that you mine. This has helped me make a good deal of gold since I’m no longer underselling ore/bars for what they are worth.
